Geoffrey Rosenthal, MD
Geoffrey L. Rosenthal, MD, PhD, a nationally-known pediatric cardiologist, is a professor of the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. Dr. Rosenthal is the Director of the Children's Heart Program and the Executive Director of Pediatric Critical Care Services at the University of Maryland Children's Hospital.
Dr. Rosenthal is certified by the National Board of Medical Examiners, the American Board of Pediatrics in General Pediatrics and Pediatric Cardiology and the American Board of Internal Medicine in Adult Congenital Heart Disease.
Dr. Rosenthal is the Chair of the Pediatric Advisory Committee to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and has been a member since 2007. Dr. Rosenthal is the Co-Chair of the Congenital Heart Public Health Consortium. He is the Co-Chair of the Quality Metrics Working Group of the American College of Cardiology. Dr. Rosenthal serves on the Executive Committee for the Section of Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He is a founding member and current task force member of the National Pediatric Cardiology Quality Improvement Collaborative of the Joint Council on Congenital Heart Disease. Dr. Rosenthal is also a member of the National Program to Reduce Cardiovascular Risk Coordinating Committee of the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, representing the American Academy of Pediatrics.
